#FITTYBITZ #3 // monday 29th jan // massive unproductive time and too much gaming! :(

in fittybitz •  7 years ago

Oh man, I pretty much never went anywhere last week, maybe it was the cold weather or reaction to the epic week before that but we simply did not get the steps in, kinda feel like I dropped the ball but I was just not the headspace to get out, on the friday I must have just been stuff in my chair all day, I’m sure I walked more than nine steps thou, maybe I was charging the thing, either I promise you I moved more than nine steps! :)

gaming overdose week, ugh.

oh man i really fell of the grind this last week and i’m really regretting it, i can’t believe that i played one particular game for well over 11hrs — it really knocked my productivity outta the park even if i was playing it at the end of the day, the cold hard facts are there thou and i have to adapt to them instead of using excuses — i reinstalled it to play and looked what happened, time to delete it again.

I removed the game that I was playing because well it’s even more lame than paladins and I’m trying to avoid lots of bloody follow requests on the game as well, in the last few weeks the amount of direct messages I have to block on twitter from people asking me to check out their blogs or contests or something is really overwhelming so I’ve blurred out the game for now.

weekly course corrections

The one thing I can say about having access to this Fitbit data is there is no escape from it, yes I could stop the rescue time program, connivence myself that I’m being productive but the truth is the stats don’t like, it’s obvious that when I have a physical week my productivity goes up as well and when I have a down week I’m the opposite, the quest is always about that balance and I’m thankful that I have another week on earth to make corrections,

I sure as hell don’t want to be in a situation where I’m working all the damn time and cranking productivity through the roof it’s about feeling that balance and having the data to see where I’m overdoing it, as for last week I know I’m playing catchup and that’s what I intend to do tomorrow, like I said in my previous post I’ve got all the things I need for projects for this week.

exercise between the cold spells

Think I’m going to have to force myself to get out and walk, maybe even map out a walk around here that I’ve never done before and just do it, rack up those steps, no point having a tracker device if I’m not going to properly use it, I feel a million bucks once I get back and sit down and have a nice cuppa tea or coffee and get into my work, the clarity returns! :)

The weather in the last few days has started to pick up, not sure how much of that will continue into February but I do know that if I can get the car battery recharged and sorted out then maybe in the next two or three weeks we can maybe get the car into the local town for indoor heated swimming again — of course that could bring all the cold and flu onto us but maybe it’s gonna be worth it just to get that lovely swim tiredness! :)

power to mid week month change

Keep saying it but Wednesday believe it or not is the 1st of February, time to briefly reflection on the last four weeks and round up what I’ve done and what’s outstanding, stack of markdown stuff still to do on the different accounts but the row was the starting block for that, those things I can do rapidly after experimentation.

this month has to be the upswing month on the media output and I’m certain we can get more @vlogging and green screen stuff done so keep your eyes on @teamvideo account and if your not following it please do! :)

yea, she's been studying like crazy for the past 3 days. She's pretty stoked on it.

It's great i wish i am as productive as you :)#stay blessed

It's awesome that you are keeping yourself accountable. I should implement something like that for myself as I feel I'm not as productive as I should be!

well, how about you do it and every monday check in with me, give me the link so you know i'll be reading, accountability is everything! :) get a tracker. track that shit. it's the only way to change man.

Absolutely! There was a time when I was a distance employee workign online and the working times didn't matter, just filling your time quota, so there was a time tracker. Looking into my data was a revelation and forced me to be more efficient and mindful of wasting time. I might just install something like that again just for my own sake and keep tabs on it all.

I think the best thing about this type of tools is that you don't really need to bother anybody else with watching over your shoulder. When the data is presented nice and clear in front of you, it speaks so loud you simply couldn't ignore it if you wanted to.

Thank you for the offer to help, I appreciate it! :)

Friend I hope you can return to your routine soon, that sometimes happens and I imagine more with that great weather that there are success greetings
