5 Fun Facts About @c0ff33a

5 Fun Facts

While I was ploughing through another early hours of the morning session of commenting on Steemit posts, I noticed @enginewitty had tagged me in a post - this one https://steemit.com/fivefacts/@enginewitty/5-fun-facts-about-enginewitty and the tag was a nomination to continue this chain post idea. It seems he was nominated by @saffisara someone else on Steemit I have encountered many times throughout my time - so many familiar names are in #thealliance it seems like the group has soaked up all the great content creators I lost track of. Anyway, enough rambling let's get on with the FACTS

Some people have said I used to be quite handsome when I was young, so I don't exactly know what went wrong since then. This was taken a ridiculously long time ago, evidently the years since then have not been too kind to me.

Back in 2009 I was the best man at a school friends wedding, I am not Scottish but his family bloodline is, so I got to wear a fetching kilt. He also has lived in Boston, massachusetts for many years since we left University so I got to spend a week in the Wonderful city.

I have been snowboarding since my teenage years, when I started it was still relatively new and developing. I can ski as well because I learned that first but always struggled to reach the skill level required for deep off piste snow - so I moved onto snowboarding because they just float over the powder like surfing!

For the first 10 years of my life I was brought up on a Farm, and some of my relatives on my mum's side still still work on farms. It was quite isolated so outside of school I did not see any other Children which meant I spent most of my time occupying myself outdoors. I still to this day prefer my own company, somehow the desire to socialise with people just never developed in me, I did learn to force myself to interact with people but being honest I'm not a people person. I don't have any old pictures of me to hand, so you can enjoy my youngest boy practicing milking a cow at Blackpool Zoo in the Farm Zone a few years back.

IMG_1025.jpg

I have two boys, and they make an odd pair because the youngest is 7 and the eldest is 20! You could make a comedy duo out of this little and large pairing, this picture is taken from my youngest's School Christmas Fair last December - the snowman is their mum! She spent the whole afternoon having pictures taken with the various school children, plus it was really hot inside the outfit.

And there you have five facts about me you probably did not know. Now for the hard part, because I have to tag three #thelliance members to do their own 5 Fun Facts posts. My first choice is @atmemestable because she has been doing some amazing (and mouthwatering) food posts and I am sure she will have some fun facts to share. My second choice is @burkulese who is currently travelling and sharing amazing pictures of his journey - I bet he has some very interesting facts to share. Finally a new member, @mr-neil who seems to share a surprising amount in common with me - I'm intrigued to learn a little more about him.

Good job

Thank you very much, you are too kind.

That kid is about to cry. He must be nervous from how big the cow is.

Actually he always pulls that face when I want to take a photo of him!

Oh man! That was great! I have to ask about the wedding, did they have the bagpipes and all playing and all as they did the dancing and what not? Bet it was a blast. I hear them Scotts can put away some alcohol.

Oh yes BagPipes the works, and a free bar. Which was exclusively drained by myself - pretty much the whole of the brides side do not drink alcohol - in fact I was surprised to find areas of Boston are totally alcohol free. I was also surprised to get asked for ID everywhere I went!

Great to learn a bit about you cool to read, I to am generally not to much of a people person, and LOL at your boys face by the cow

tip!

I had a few shots of him looking away, believe it or not that is his "Smile for the camera face". He was just 4 then I believe.

Our grand daughter has a funny face she always pulls when told to smile 😊

Challenge accepted. Expect fun and surprises.

Thank you, I'm a bit behind but did thoroughly enjoy yours - well done.

Those a great facts about yourself... !!!! I love learning about the people I connect with on Steemit! much love!

Thank you, it's a interesting way of learning more about everyone the in the #thealliance

Very great to know more about you @c0ff33a. Intersting facts.

Thank you my friend, I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

A little more leg on that fetching kilt!

I love kilts. My kids have Scottish in the and one wears a kilt. It's a babe magnet. LOL

I love your son! He is so adorable and so much a mini-me. The picture with the cow. Priceless.

Fab five Do more! ;) Tip!

Thank you very much, I should look up the photo taken after the speeches - there were four us British at the wedding in Kilts - we lined up in front of everyone - turned away from them and bent over lifting the kilts to reveal Union Jack boxer Shorts - 🇬🇧 I was expecting to get lynched but the people of Boston it seems have a good sense of Humour.

Hahaha! Yes! That would have been hilarious! We have all forgotten about the Boston Tea Party. Not my fight and all. We came over on the slow boat after the Mayflower.

Besides, I am pretty much a pacifist and Greenpeacer. Oh, my! But, I tuned in my card when I became respectable.

Dig up that picture! I love to laugh! :)

Great Post!!

Just kidding lol. That picture of you as a child is so unmistakably you, I think it could only be mistaken as someone else by a blind person. I have a feeling you may have dug the kilt pic out before when Dale was vlogging all those years ago, very fetching and it should get you a few wolf whistles from the ladies. The snowboarding I ofcourse knew about due to all that video footage you gave us that year, though I have missed last years epic footage, unless you gave it a year out. That one of your son doing the milking seems as though he was a little upset at something he found udder the cow oops typo I mean under lol, or was the pic just tkaen at that very moment that just happens every now and then where you wish the photographer was a bit better with his timing. Not sure I've seen your eldest before, he looks very dashing in his seasonal sweater there, and I have still to see a pic of your wife without fancy dress lol. An enjoyable post buddy, and well curated :)

Thank you very much Bob, look at you diving in to remind me I haven't been and watched

I had some even better pictures of me in a Kilt but I think they got lost when a hard drive borked - that's @techreality you can hear sniggering in the background.
I have skipped a few years snowboarding now, like you just no time too much going on. Everyone says he looks upset - at that age (he was 4 I think) he did that face whenever you tried to photograph him - he wasn't upset it was his best photo grin! I don't get to share many photo's of the eldest, he's a bit accident prone and always strapped up for something - slipped a few weeks ago at a country park and fractured a bone in his wrist so that's all cast up right now! My other half like yours is very camera shy, maybe one day though lol. Thanks for dropping by, take a leaf at of Gordon's book and through something on here now and again.

Ah you know what it's like for time. Now that I am back working (thank you lord) I am too busy and or tired to do anything on a night. Last night was a 7 o clock finish due to me frying someones central heating controller due to finding a loose wire that was live and then somehow managed to earth it against a copper pipe that I had just finished installing a new 3 way valve to. Oh well a new control panel to fit next week.

OMG you are harder to spot than Elvis around here!

Cool :) Nice read @c0ff33a

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my post and comment.

Nice upvoted these post check out these my poem how is it??

Thank you very much, I will try and find time to look at your poem.

All lovely photographs, you look good in that Scottish attire. There is a tribe in Nigeria that dresses similar, but it is made out of lace and Ankara. They occupy the south-south region of Nigeria.

I can only imagine scenarios with your kids, it would be truly hilarious.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your kind words. I am very interested to learn about the Nigerian tribe, do they wear Union Jack boxer shorts 🇬🇧

Lol. Not the Union Jack. It is a fabric known as Ankara

Aww sweet! Your son didn't look to happy with the milk cow. LOL

He was happy really - he always used to pull that face for the camera when he was young!

He'd probably make an awesome actor. LOl

I like photo that you wear a fetching kilt , you was handsome and you still handsome ;)

Thank you very much for taking a look my friend, that was his camera smile face - he pulled it all the time!

@adityajainxds #thealliance

Thank for taking a look and leaving a comment.

I love this what a great idea hope you don't mind think I might use this for one of my future posts.
I wore a kilt when I was 9 for my aunts wedding sorry to say that I was extremely over weight and well the kilt looked more like I was wearing a lampshade than a kilt. I am half scottish from my grandmothers side of the family, it is a beautiful country.
Thanks so much for posting.

Thank you very much, if you a have a close group of followers this is a great fun game to play between them. And thank you so much for the competition reward on your video - I really enjoyed your video and will be keeping an eye out for more, great fun and I like your style. If you like try and use the brits tag and log into the discord so I don't forget about you - far too easy nowadays as I'm getting a bit old....

Ah I forgot about the discord group sure and thanks for the heads up about the tag.

I figured out the problem with the discord links, they worked for me because I was already a member of the group - being a complete newb I just put links out of the browser to the group. Anyway found out how to make invite links - https://discord.gg/jer2k7R and I have amended the footer links as well thanks for spotting that one. 👍🏽

It's nice to learn more about you. My husband's blood line is Scottish, he had not worn a kilt but I'd be okay with it if he wanted to. Like @dswigle said, A little more leg on that fetching kilt! :D

Thank you very much, too kind. I'm quite sure there is more then enough leg on show as it is! And I refer you to my reply to @dswigle on the subject 🇬🇧

That was a pretty funny story. lol

@c0ff33 - Cool !! It is so great to know these details about you. The picture with the snowman is the best. Thanks for sharing. Upvoted full.

Regards,

@vm2904

Thank you very much, the snow man looks good but when you have to live with it every day it get's tedious lol!

Great post, I think I learned more about you, I like your Kilt, you are looking great, first time I glanced at picture I thought you are scots :) I love the Christmas photo with your children, your little one looks so happy, really enjoying the moment.

Thank you very much for taking a look and leaving a comment, keep using the brits tag we need to get more people sharing content with it!

Ahhh..the fun of growing up wish we could remember it all but then maybe not ...now we know more about you ...pretty cool post :)

Thank you very much for dropping by my friend, it a fun way to get to know people better.

Most welcome :)

Really fun to learn a little more about you, and it was 5 great choices.
Cute as a kid and don't know what happened 😂😂 you crack me up. Your sweet.
So you grew up in a farm... I always wanted that as a kid.. Lol
Thank you for sharing. Cheers!

Thank you very much for dropping by, I need to get around all the @syndicates but I'm struggling to keep up with all the posts of Gamma! It was fun on the farm, although if your Uncle keeps ferrets I learned not to ever poke your finger through the cage wire - they found me screaming around the back of the house with a ferret firmly clamped to my middle finger! Fortunately the Ferret was unaffected by the experience and lived to a grand old age.

Thank you so much for your generosity. Mad respect bro!

You are more then welcome, consider it payment for borrowing @deadgrlsuppastar picture for my vlog last week. Keep up with posting the super content, I have a feeling you are going to come up with some awesome posts :-)

Thanks.. ! ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Sweet my dear friend :)

Thank you very much, I'm still behind with my comments but working on it :-)

I had fun! Thanks @c0ff33a you are such a great guy!
P/s: your youngest is a mini replica of you.

Thank you very much, you are too kind always leaving me a comment. I'm miles behind leaving comments on posts at the moment - If I had all day to work at this I might just about manage! Everyone that see's us together says that.

Love the dynamic duo pic!
Even better with mom in the snowman suit ha ha.

Thank you very much my friend, and thanks for the Tag! in your post - even if it took me two days to notice it! The snowman suit is awesome, I tried to persuade her to wear it around the house but it didn't go down too well lol.

Facts are fun! I love snowboarding... But not skiing... I loathe skiing (because I suck!) Adorable family! I bet she made so many kids happy in her snowman costume!

Also... What is the code or markdown that you used to line your photos up that way? Great looking post as well as being interesting!

I looked it up on Steemit (amazing what you can find on here) - this post explains positioning photos - https://steemit.com/steemit-help/@krnel/how-to-align-images-in-steemit-posts-left-right-and-center but what I found is when you put Steemit uploaded images in the DIV container some of the image line text gets shows - so basically you have to delete the part of the image line that says [![myimage.png]( and the bracket at the other end end so you are left with https://steemitimages.com/ and then it works ok.

Superb!! Thank you for sharing! I've seen some various methods... But they have all been so complicated! Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you very much, I prefer Boarding and it's at least more acceptable nowadays - I used to get some funny looks when I first started because pretty much it was unheard of in the European ski resorts at the start. Lot's of happy kids with the snowman suit, I think she sweated off a few pounds though while doing it!

Love learning more things about you!

Thank you very much, I appreciate you dropping by. I'm well behind on catching up on posts but I will be commenting on your works very soon!

Lol, some awesome fun facts to know about you! There's something to be said about a youth that forces you to find fun by yourself, and to develop an imagination. So helpful later in life. We may have limited battery life when interacting with others, but that just means we make better use of that time :)

...powder surfing...I still remember the first time I went snowboarding. I was living in Japan and I convinced my girlfriend of the time to teach me. So for New Years we went to Niseko, one of the best resorts in the world I believe. Five days of pain...but at the end, boy did I love the sport, hehe.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for sharing :) Need to sign up for the service so I can see when I'm tagged in things.

Thank you very much, I think you are quite right. And that resort is supposed to be one of the best - you think that hurt I learnt to snowboard on Dry Ski Slopes in the UK - basically hills of upturned yard brush bristles - when you hit that hard it hurts - took a good portion of my face skin off once doing University competitions at Loughborough dry slope slalom racing - was worth it though I beat the skier to the finish - even if I crossed the line on my face! You want Gina Bot - https://discord.gg/h32M9W but you have to thank @deadgrlsuppastar she is the one who told me about it - a little tricky to set up but you should work it out easily enough.

Will be checking that Gina Bot out shortly :) And I'll give her a shout out too!

Yeah, I was really lucky. Though, plenty of times when I went out boarding on the weekends I was playing on ice fields. Man do you learn to keep your balance that way, and keep that front edge up, because when you didn't...pow But the speed....so much fun, hehe.

Ahh, the memories :)

Certainly a fun read!

Hey fam, great post!

It has been chosen to appear
in the new Memos issue.
Stop in and see what everyone's up to!

Fun post and an interesting way to get to know our Alliance members better! 👍

Love the 5 facts posts! Snowboarding changed my life (led me to move to another country), so I can absolutely relate to the joy of surfing the snow. I'm also not really a people person, though I've come a long way since my days as an only child who didn't understand humanity in general. I do like people now... some of them at least. lol! Good to get to know you better. :)

#blog Hey so have u looked at the poem try to upvote and reestem pls link here https://steemit.com/writing/@okekemmichael/a-poem-hay-from-above-3990e5e62b549

Great post my dear friend

You really haven't changed in appearance that much since you were little (your first photo) other than normal aging! @c0ff33a Growing up on a farm must've been hard work but I'm sure you learned many things most people don't know about animals and agriculture. The look on his face of your youngest son sitting by the cow is hilarious! As your sons get older, the difference in their ages will "lessen." Are they close? Promise us you wont snowboard in a kilt, no matter how much any future groom begs! Great learning more about you!💯
