Steemian, and @thesteemengine member, @eaglespirit shares an excellent longread about the Chimney Rock National Monument in the State of Colorado, complete with gorgeous photos from her visit to the monument: Chimney Rock National Monument
Chimney Rock is the highest in elevation at 7,000 feet and the hike to the top is approximately a half a mile. Once you reach the top, you will be able to see all the way to New Mexico and appreciate the local view of Colorado. According to my people, The Ancients the verbal history is that man developed in this area, at least a portion of them. I am from the Hopi tribe and this is the area we call the navel and the Great Kiva represents the opening.
