Don't destroy steemit's rep by posting adult content...besides there are under 18's here as well so behave yourself :D

Although some articles and posts by authors were funny we should also look at the bigger picture here. If steemit really wants to go mainstream and be the go to platform for content creators such material should no be allowed.
I'm mostly referring to nudity and porn.

By 'adult' content I am hoping you mean nudity or porn... because if "Flagging of ALL Adult content" means adult language or 'sexual themes' and things aimed at just being funny, then people are going to say you can shove this post.

Yip..nudity and porn. Forgot to mention it in the post..quick edit incoming :D

A recent nude 'celebrity' model trended with a $14,000 payout. She, supposedly, has a million followers who might be potential Steemians. Would you try flagging and banning her and the front cover of Playboy? It's a dilemma!

where does one draw the line then? it's an interesting dilemma. it can all get out of hand very quickly if steemit does not find a solution soon.

Yes, I agree. Porn, even soft porn will say something about the steemit, the community and the targeted audience.

There is a big difference between new yorker/Washington post and a scandal magazine/site.

We are not 9gag or imgur (only fun fun fun, guys).

Mainly it's about targeted audience.

Cheers.

well said :D

I agree but unless they have some way of controlling it, I do not know if it can be stopped

that's the thing..can it be stopped? how..with bots maybe, currently it's up to us human moderators to flag such content.

Yep. Human moderation.
The only small problem is related to the race for making steemit big. Big big big in a short period of time. That means: we welcome everybody. We need everybody.
And for the moment it's not a problem. Maybe in a year or so if we'll lose to many good writers with a lot to say towards boobs than we'll have some bad feelings about this community. Time will tell.

Cheers.
