How I feel abit's experiment went.

Okay, so I get what he is trying to accomplish, but... the execution:

ABBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT JENKINS

I know it is his stake and he can use it how he wants and he is entitled to use vote negation.. etc.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I like the idea, just not the execution.  Nice Try though.

I wasn't sure anymore but I remembered it right.

Leeroy Jenkins (aka Ben Schulz) is one of the most famous players/characters in World of Warcraft. The video has become a World of Warcraft phenomenon. After much debate and controversy, PALS FOR LIFE, Leeroy's guild, have admitted that this was a staged promotional video.

I have heard it debated, and I figured it was staged... It is still hysterical.

I too figured out it was stage before verifying it. I agree. It still a funny video.

Thank you for sharing the "real story". I was talking with someone else about it likely being faked a while ago.

Funny .. Leroy never gets old. :)

This experiment is an interesting one though .. as explained by @timcliff ..

I would be very interested to know what would occur in a whale-less world, with them neither upvoting nor downvoting. If we are to have a future, we need 100s of thousands of new users, who will all have roughly the same amount of starter STEEMPower. Some will choose to purchase and power-up relatively large amounts of STEEM, perhaps up to 10k, but in that scenario the STEEM price will have increased to a point where this would be less possible for individuals than it is today.

Anyway, let's see what a relatively-level playing field is like - I hope all whales choose to participate.

Yes, the idea is probably very good. I was only laughing at the execution. After I got mad for a minute, I looked for the humor. :)

lol yes .. everything I said above was entirely obvious wasn't it? It was really just a defense against incurring the wrath. ;-)

The way the idea was dropped could have used a little more of a 'human' touch. "Hey gang .. I have a great idea! Let's see how things go if we highly-disturbing 500 000+ SP holders side-line ourselves for a few days!? Whaddusay !?" .. rather than ... "Let us see how these mortals fare without our divine intervention .. I will be begin .. NOW!"

Did anyone drop a soul stone?

If the "experiment" had the right intentions now, the experimenter should give back to the people what was taken from their produced value (steem), but nobody can replace the damage made in Human feelings and esteem of innocent bystanders.
Me, and many common content producers on Steemit, surely are not going to forget that they were the guinea pigs for and experiment of the wars of the fight for Power using aleatory targets of any bystander.

Interesting way to grow the user base.

went? is it over?

I guess I should say... How it started off. :)

It's interresting to see how whales feel when they are experiencing what the minnows and dolphins have been experiencing. It's like when they're downvoted it's suppose to be a bad thing but nothing is said when the new people and the dolphins have been getting the same treatment. Nothing is said silence. It sure is an ugly picture to see how out of touch and insensitive some whales can be.

Hi Pitterpatter, I know you are fairly new around here. It is still trial and error. I am of the opinion many of the whales are not used to having power and influence and are still learning how to use it. I don't think they are bad people, but they do seem to be a bit techy minded. It will work out in time.

With all the fussing and complaining we do. I personally think that SteemIt really is great and may head to big places. :) Just going to be a messy ride.

YES!

That made me laugh. I'm not sure about this experiment. After all whales decided to remain whales. They could have powered down everything they had or at least part of it. Anyway. It's their stake.

I think it might be a great idea, as I said. Any mistakes were in the execution. I don't think many people want to "Buy In" at thousands of dollars so they can fight off a flag, which isn't even directed at the person, but rather the voters??? I think playing with the system is fine, but have a little curtesy for the people. :)

Anyway, my point was to try and make it funny. :)
