Bullet Faceless

He left his room in a trance. His father was still asleep. It was still dark out. He found the gun in the drawer where his father always left it, like he was daring Kin to take it. Well the time had come for Kin to take the dare.
He couldn’t believe how heavy it felt in his hands. It was like the heaviest thing he had ever held in his seven year old hands. He felt powerful just holding it there in the bathroom staring at the mirror. Everything had dissolved for him. It was only the gun and the mirror and nothing else.
Now the time had come to be a man he thought. He would show his father that he had finally come of age. Maybe then his father would let him be whatever he wanted to be. But first he had to erase that baby face.
He breathed in deep then calmly shot his face in the mirror. The sound was deafening. The mirror shattered into a million pieces He smiled when he didn’t see his face anymore.
