Is The Earth Flath?.... Shaquille O'Neal Thinks So!

During a podcast Shaq is asked about Kyrie Irving saying the Earth is flat. Shaq agreed that the Earth is indeed flat but never once brings up any proofs or mention where he learned about the Flat Earth. When one proclaims to the world for the first time that "the Earth is Flat" we would expect that individual to bring up some solid reasons as to why, and whom it was that lead him to this remarkable conclusion. Shaq says he drives across the country and sees it is flat??? Hmmmm....

What do you think?

Is the Earth Flat?

Is Shaq Right?

Is Shaq Wrong?

I am going to accept the scientific authority of the dunking powerhouse known by most as Shaq.

Accepting scientific authority? What happened to questioning scientific authority? Granted, Shaq may not be the man for the job. :)

What are you talking about? Shaq is our civilization's finest scientist.

I just meant, he's got a lot on his plate as a full time genie.

Looks round to me. On the other hand a map of the world is flat if you lay it out on a table.

Appearances can be deceiving. Remember who fed you the Globe Crowe ;)

Probably when I was a boy watching the "Globe Troters" on tv. lol. I've lived all over the World and flown quite a bit. As I ride in an airplane I can easily see the shape of the planet ever so slightly going in a round sphere. The Bible indicates that the earth is round. Consider Isaiah 40:22 which mentions the “circle of the earth.” This description is certainly fitting—particularly when the earth is viewed from space; the earth always appears as a circle since it is round.

Another verse that indicates the spherical nature of our planet is Job 26:10. This verse teaches that God has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness. This boundary between light and darkness (day and night) is called the “terminator” since the light stops or “terminates” there. Someone standing on the terminator would be experiencing either a sunrise or a sunset; they are going from day to night or from night to day. The terminator is always a circle, because the earth is round.

Circle and Sphere are complete different shapes my friend. And no plane can go high enough to detect a curve, and images from space are from NASA... which they admit are composites.... so lol Don't believe everything you "see" Crowe. Ask questions, you might be surprised what you find. I certainly was. :)

I've been seeing this flat earth concept for the last 6 years or so. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. What resources would you suggest? Video's? Does this view suggest the Earth is truly flat or spherical in scope? Curious.

What is old is new again ... lol The concept itself is much older than 6 years, of that I can assure you. The debate over curvature and motion has endured for thousands of years, but with the advent of new technologies such as the internet, as well as high zoom video (Nikon P900), and high altitude balloon tests, the debate has certainly gained new interest, most certainly as a result of the many observable inconsistencies that seem to be piling up. Based on your earlier comment with regards to the Bible, I think you would really enjoy a Documentary called The Principle, which gives an excellent overview of The Copernican, Heliocentric model, how it came to be accepted, and what faults, if any, seem to exist with the current accepted model. After that, I think you'd probably enjoy the work of the Globebusters Youtube channel. They do a weekly show Sundays 3-6pm and have been doing so every week for the last couple years. They are at the forefront of the FE research community IMO. I'm a very open minded person, but I'm also a fervent researcher. I enjoy learning new things every day, and this topic has certainly pushed my boundaries. So whether a Ball or Flat, one thing is certain Crowe, wherever we are, this existence is most certainly not a boring one. :)

I will look into this. Thanks.

Cheers Crowe. An open mind is a powerful tool. I'm here if you have any questions brother. One and Equal.
