The Trails not changing colors as it enters the clouds. That also is something that could happen easily if those trails are actually particle effects and if the particles have not been designed to interact with changes in lighting. This is pretty common.

There isn't anything I saw in that video that couldn't be pretty easily faked. So I can't tell you.

I'll tell you it looks fake to me.

A couple things to keep in mind especially if you are versed in photoshop, or have messed with any 3D programs these days.

It is very easy to fake almost any video. That doesn't mean they are fake. It just means you can't really know with certainty unless you see it with your own eyes and collect the data yourself.

This leaves you in a situation where you need to decide what is probable based upon what you know and do your best for YOU.

Faking that plane situation would be super easy with 3D software. This includes the bulge. You can do things like that with mesh deformation or even easier use a simple blendshape (aka morph).

Is that what that is? I don't know. That's the problem. Today seeing is not believing unless you are the one witnessing it yourself.
