That would only be true is you only saw one hemispherical section of the night sky per night. Obviously, the Earth is still rotating at night (or, however flat-Earthers explain how the stars move at night), and so you see more than that. So, actually, the prediction to make from the diagram here is that the specific part of the night sky that you don't see because the Sun's in the way would be the exact opposite on one side of the year as on the other.

So what do you think "the Sun is in Capricorn" means?
