So here we go again.... Hi guys, I just got a phone call from the tile store and the rest of my porcelain tile that I ordered just came in-that was fast!!!
I started laying the 1/4 inch cement board so I can get the tile started. With a little luck I just might get this finished before Christmas.......
I am laying the 1/4 inch cement board in a bed of thin-set and then screwing this to the subfloor with 2 1/2 inch all weather screws. This is because the thin set has Portland Cement in it and it is corrosive.
Then non-corrosive mesh joint tape is applied to all joints and then thin set over.
This layout is a little under thirteen feet long by thirty nine inches wide, so I bought three sheets of the cement board and I grabbed two pounds of screws..... I had a couple of pounds of these screws at home.
That should be enough, right???
I had " TWO SCREWS " left over- WOW... @silvertop really knows how to cut that one close, especially figuring that the closest lumber yard is about eighteen miles away!
This part is finished, taped, mudded, screwed........ Just let it set up and dry and go get the tiles tomorrow..........then this......
My boy..... My baby Mountain Lion has ALL black pad's on his feet.....
" No Dad, I didn't walk in you thin set "
Till tomorrow @silvertop is taking the rest oft the evening off!!!!
