Funan mall has recently reopened.
Sadly it has lost it’s previous IT Mall status and tries hard to revamp itself as a lifestyle mall.
What that really translates to, is that Funan more or less just became “just” another mall in Singapore with not much identity.
The IT stuff is now only on one level and again is stocked with standardized shops like Best Denki, Courts.
Another weird thing is this mall is filled up by alo lot of eatery stuff on every floor. Cafes, food court and stuff. They might as well call this the Food Mall.
What is worse that the shops tries hard to be IT savvy. With Kopitiam have machines for u to order(self-service) instead of stalls collecting monies
Now to the main point of this post. They opened a NTUC finest at the basement
The idea of finest is to sell stuff more expensive and on par with coldstorage(another similar shop), but if you want to be premium, then bloody hall havea cashier to collect money and bag the food. But instead you have ONLY self service kiosks for payment. And the said machines can’t even keep pace with the line/queue. Sad.
I was going to buy stuff, but seeing the situation. I shall now boycott ntuc finest with no human cashier. Sad state.

The way everything is trying to go cashless is pathetic.
If I want to pay
