ดอกไม้ประจำชาติไทย คือ ดอกราชพฤกษ์

ดอกไม้สีเหลืองอร่ามที่มักพบเห็นได้ทั่วไปตามริมถนนสายต่าง ๆ คือสีสันของ ดอกราชพฤกษ์ หรือ ดอกคูน ต้นไม้มงคลที่ได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็น ดอกไม้ประจำชาติไทย ทั้งยังเชื่อว่าเป็นต้นไม้ที่ปลูกไว้แล้วจะเสริมให้คนในบ้านมีเกียรติยศชื่อเสียงมากขึ้นด้วย ยิ่งใกล้เข้าสู่เวลาแห่งการเปิดประตูต้อนรับเพื่อนบ้านอาเซียนกันแล้ว ในวันนี้กระปุกดอทคอมจึงขอนำข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับดอกไม้ประจำชาติไทยอย่าง ดอกราชพฤกษ์
เหตุผลเลือกเป็นดอกไม้ประจำชาติไทย
- เนื่องจากเป็นต้นไม้พื้นเมืองที่รู้จักกันอย่างแพร่หลาย และมีอยู่ทุกภาคของประเทศไทย
- มีประวัติเกี่ยวข้องกับประเพณีสำคัญ ๆ ในไทยและเป็นต้นไม้มงคลที่นิยมปลูก
- ใช้ประโยชน์ได้หลากหลาย เช่น ใช้เป็นยารักษาโรค อีกทั้งยังใช้ลำต้นเป็นเสาเรือนได้ เป็นต้น
- มีสีเหลืองอร่าม พุ่มงามเต็มต้น เปรียบเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งพุทธศาสนา
- มีอายุยืนนาน และทนทาน
ลักษณะทั่วไป
เป็นต้นไม้ขนาดกลาง สูงประมาณ 10-20 เมตร ออกดอกเป็นช่อสีเหลืองอร่าม แต่ละช่อยาวประมาณ 20-40 เซนติเมตร โดยกลีบดอกจะเป็นสีเหลือง 5 กลีบ มีผลยาวประมาณ 30-60 เซนติเมตร มีกลิ่นฉุน และมีเมล็ดที่เป็นพิษ
การปลูกดอกราชพฤกษ์
นิยมปลูกด้วยเมล็ด โดยจะมีการเจริญเติบโตช้าในช่วง 1-3 ปีแรก แต่หลังจากนั้นจะมีการเติบโตเร็วขึ้น และออกดอกตอนอายุประมาณ 4-5 ปี
