The great poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote: "Flowers are the Earth Laughing". These words resonate in my heart when I see all the beautiful flowers of this summer. I can almost hear the joyful laugh of nature in the shapes and colors of all the flowers around me.
The gardener finds great tranquility when nature rewards her labours with laughing flowers in the sunshine.
Bumblebees and hummingbirds find their nourishment in the flowers sweet nectar.
The alluring woman wears perfumes extracted from roses and lilacs.
The artist finds her inspiration from the colors and shapes of flowers.
Flowers on a marked are bought by the thoughtful friend as a gift to a loved one.
Maybe flowers are made to be enjoyed by all sentient beings on this earth. If you are out walking, take some time to smell the flowers and enjoy their laughing beauty.

Beautiful pictures and words! And how can we not be happy, when we see flowers? They are spring, summer... colourful reminders of LIFE; they also remind me of my mother who always said "please send me flowers while I am alive to enjoy them, not just to my funeral!"
