Scenes from the 2018 Philadelphia Flower Show

The Philadelphia Flower Show ( https://theflowershow.com/ ) has been a huge annual event for many years now, drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees and attracting participants from all over the world. This year's theme is "The Wonders of Water."

I've been probably a handful of times over the years and it's a really interesting, enjoyable event, though also usually crowded as hell... :D

The Philadelphia Convention Center is a massive space spanning many blocks, so there's tons to see and I didn't really come close to checking it all out this year. But it was fun seeing all the work put into the major productions and displays, as well as the winner of individual plant categories.

Here's some pf what I saw this past weekend:

(first thing you see is huge rainforest themed displayed. it looked very cool, but the pics could be better)

(you get to see lots of other artistic creations, like the beautiful hanging glass sculpture here)

(I'm not sure what was going on here, but the parts of it had spectular color! I thought some of these would make great entries into the Steemit color challenge, if I really knew what those were all about...)

(some sections of the prize winning plants. as I strolled by I wondered what the qualifications were to become a judge of plants and flowers and what the criteria were in each of the categories)

(AARP has this amazing wall of these beautiful flowers cut from colored paper and cardboard)

(and to round things out...tulips!!)
