Growing Roses Like a Pro

in flowers •  6 years ago

I woke up this morning to see a rose bush in my neighbors yard in full bloom. This was planted not too long ago from a single stem. I recall wondering if the rose bush would even survive when we first planted it.

There are quite a few roses on this bush. But the stems are rather short, so I decided to leave the plant as-is, rather than cutting off its roses. Instead, I will just appreciate the rose bush during my morning walks.

I really did not do anything special to help this plant grow so big. There was some fertilizer added when we first planted it, but that’s about it! It get watered regularly, of course.
