Winter is a steep price to pay for living in a beautiful place. I'm finding it more difficult to patiently wait for spring, and so, having finally been gifted some neoprene chest waders, I've resolved to tackle a trout stream in winter. I've read fairly extensively on the matter, and it seems the most productive methods in winter are nymphing and streamer...ing. I've had few successes with either, in any weather. I'm clearly doing it wrong. Either way, I'm going to try, as soon as a day off and a temperature of 20F or more coincide...and as soon as someone tells me where to find some worthwhile unfrozen water.
