PAL-V will showcase the world's first flying car in the event the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. That is, this flying car will soon be produced. PAL-V calls this flying car a Liberty, a three-wheeled vehicle that can change its shape into a gyrocopter in a short time, about 5-10 minutes. Cool, right !
The company did not release detailed specifications but justified this model using two Rotax aircraft engines and has been designed to meet the specifications of vehicles and aircraft in Europe and the United States.
Liberty will go through the last stage of the certification process or flight-worthy test in accordance with applicable regulations. The company expects it to be completed by 2019.
This flying car has been developed for at least ten years because PAL-V created the concept since 2008. This model has undergone flight testing in 2011.
In its official statement, PAL-V CEO Robert Dingemanse said the flying car had actually been manufactured and would undergo the necessary certification for commercialization. "This is an important moment that separates the pioneers of the dreamer," he said.
Entry-level production of Liberty Sport is estimated to cost USD399.000 or approximately Rp5, 2 billion. However, for those who want to get a flying car as soon as possible should choose Liberty Pioneer Edition is estimated to cost from USD599.000 or equivalent Rp7, 8 billion.
This is just a production cost. The selling price is not yet certain, but surely this flying car will use high quality materials for its exterior and interior.
