Whipped the guitar out at last!

Last night I played a couple of songs at Twickfolk, for the first time this year, I think.
I've various excuses why I haven't played, but no reasons. As my wife said yesterday: "You should play more; it relaxes you." True, but the cat gets stressed!
So I played "To Her Door", first. A tune by yesterday's t-shirt, Paul Kelly. Messed up the second pre-chorus, but otherwise it went well.
Later I tried Show of Hands' "The Keeper" - a gentle but effective song where a gamekeeper flushes the pheasamts from the undergrowth for his masters shoot, while remembering going over the top in WWI. That was inspired by the vicar who is a regular player at TwickFolk and a rather good songwriter. He posted on FB that his Amistice Day sermon will feature a whistle that was used in the trenches to signal a march towards the Germans. I missed a couple of chords, then botched the line about the whistle. Sigh.
