It was quite common that in school they abhorred the traditional music of the country. The joropo, which reminds us of the region "El Llano" of Venezuela. Or the "Parranda", which comes directly from the coast, bringing with it the exquisite smell of the waves that hit the shore caribbean. They said that dancing joropo was boring. They said that all this was boring. But the reality is that, certainly, they do not know the real work that this means for experts in the field. The traditional Venezuelan dance is transformed into a figure called "Nationalist Dance", which takes the folkloric elements of the country and transforms them for the enjoyment of the public, of the spectator. Choreography, makeup, dresses that take elements of traditional clothing; It takes traditional characteristics and transforms them. I call it "Traditional theatrical dance". Boring theory, I suppose. But is it fascinates to see a few girls dancing on stage, watching their glances, bright, their energetic movements and the flash of the effects with the clothes, all so picturesque. Their faces, full of happiness, receive much applause and cheers. We are fulfilling your dreams, every applause executed by a couple of hands means motivation for those little ones. Venezuelan Nationalist Dance is art, and deserves to be respected. It deserves to receive the value it requires. The country deserves that respect, not only for the dance, but for everything that Venezuela means.
Culture is in us since we were born. Although we do not agree, we must appreciate the customs that are born of the people.
