And make sure that the content you upload is your own or that you post a link to the oroginal if you have found it online. It is not uncommon for steemit to cancel a reward for "stolen content".

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
