#followfriday - Steemies you just have to follow

It's been quite an up and down week this week that brought me some wonderful and interesting writing but ended the week on a low with the @drugwars debacle.

Anyway, I'm sticking with the good stuff and we start the post with another truly staggeringly great article from @v4vapid . This person is not a frequent poster and I'm sure everyone knows them as they have been around a long time. I am a huge fan. Not necessarily because I agree with everything they write but simply because their writing is so well researched, factual and gently nudges their opinion to the reader without any of the hysterical rhetoric and conclusive leaps of faith you get with other writers in this genre of investigative political journalism.
If you have 15 minutes to spare, read Deep Dives 12 | Regime Change in South America | The US Role in Chile's 9-11. A jaw-dropping perfectly formed argument and whether you agree with the writer or not, their case is compelling and built on rock solid foundations.
Writers like this push the boundaries of superlatives in my opinion and are exactly what we need to draw more 'consumers' into Steem. @v4vapid and #deepdives . Go read and draw your own conclusions!

@bengy covers the whole gamut; delightful personal blog posts, classical music, enthralling crypto articles and some foodie stuff. I've spent some happy time this week scrolling through his back catalogue and am now an avid follower, especially with his personal family articles, absolutely lovely! Have a look at this article, Our little fixer! and lets all chip in for a Raspberry Pi for the young lady and a 'Dad of the month' award for @bengy for letting his kids loose with screwdrivers and soldering irons. Brilliant and best wishes to @bengy and his whole family :-)

@dpoll . I love @dpoll from @emrebeyler . It's so useful for getting a groundswell of opinion amongst the community and doesn't get enough love or use in my opinion! The problem we have now is that there are so many great DApps fighting for too small a regular user base, but for practical and genuinely useful DApps, you can't beat @dpoll . Head over to dpoll and start a poll or vote on some of the interesting ones already posted.

Finally for this week, another long term big-shot (in the nicest sense of the term) Steemie who I started reading recently is @lukestokes . He posted a beautifully composed post A love letter to my wife a couple of weeks ago which was genuinely touching and more recently, a very interesting article entitled, Are We More Than Our Physical Bodies? another really nice bloke....

Oh shut up you tarts, I know you all met each other at last year's love-in mutual appreciation party, but as I am anti-social, grumpy and thick, I didn't attend!! I like to discover things for myself...........eventually!!
