My day at Steemgigs discord

Today I decided to hang out at @steemgigs discord. @surpassinggoogle makes himself available for everyone at midnight Philippine time every Sunday/Saturday. Usually, he skips sleep to do his show and after show discussion/karaoke.

I decided to hang out in his server today. I know fear of missing out leads to more missing out but I felt like I was missing out not being at steemgigs. Today started out like this...

As you can see I was trying to promote @artemisnorth show, the creatives coffee hour and her show on @shadowspub's discord called The Steemit Ramble . I usually go on Thursdays for @shadowspub's pimp your post Thursdays show. I don't hand make clothing so I'm not really into the Monday show there but they are also sisters who I trust and feel go out of their way to promote other steemit users posts. However quickly a new steemit user @dont-meme-on-me whose special talent was meme making and wanted help with making steemit content other than memes. He used the special key trigger word that is thrown around like a curse word meant to isolate you and your efforts into a box called 'shit posting'. I instantly felt for him as I have more memes posted on my account than posts with words(thanks @acidyo ill never forget you bud!😜). I quickly grabbed resources from our server's Steemit education section. These resources are mostly derived from other steemit user's posts who I spent some time looking for. Some are witness articles even.

Of course, I was going to break it on down to the most important but basic Steemit 101 fundamentals. I had to tell him to protect his password(s)

I used @isaria's post about passwords to help him out!

But wait I had more for him!

Not only did I drop 3 links on him after that one, I also explained how important it was to gain an audience with keeping better tabs on his Steemit account with @ginabot and his Steemworld account via https://www.steemworld.org/@dont-meme-on-me. I think he got offended for second with the grammerly app link but I quickly explained the benefits of having Grammarly! I then dropped some markdown links for him that you can find in our discord as well The Dynamic Steemians

@dont-meme-on-me had a lot of information to process but had one more question about rewards on steemit and payouts. So I dropped it like it was hot again with a link from @ilyastarar.

Then we had a pleasant song that was played by @jao. Thank you by the way!

Then things got really amazing! We had @princessvanessa bless us with her appearance! She had popped in to share her excitement for Ulogs. I had explained to her how her voice was amazing and how Ulogs is what constitutes you the night before, I also encouraged her to sing for @surpassinggoogle in her Ulog and she did just that here. She was here to share her excitement with us! Her voice is amazing and you can hear it on this post. It was a great surprise to be sung to by her albeit it was via video!

Oh wait! Did the extremely talented @darrenclaxton just show up??!!! We were in voice at this time and most our conversations were happening there.

He promised us only one song live but gave us 4!!!! He is crazy talented I highly suggest visiting his @dtube channel and visiting his most recent Steemit post. As he was singing I felt the need to do the @here tag just to at least get the whalebot involved. It did summon the whalebot, @zoneboy, and @yandot. @zoneboy knew to listen in on the music while @yandot seemed completely lost but maybe there is some language barriers. Still confusing as he is a mod on steemgigs...

@zoneboy came in to pick up my slack as my attention was taken elsewhere at home. But I did manage to promote Ulogs and clear up some funny confusion before I left!
