Today we have Louis Myers; he’s the founder of Fone Store, a highly successful online business targeted for the UK. Please tell us a little bit about your background and how you ended up choosing the business that you did?
Hi, my name is Louis Myers and I founded Fone Store on January 22, 2004. It all started with a problem and then a solution. The problem was that the markets were generally only selling the newest and latest phones. Yet, consumers were readily available to purchase some slightly used phones for a great price. The solution was simple. I decided to offer these good condition new and used phones to consumers at a very good price.
Wow! That sounds really great. Being in the market that you were in, how did you differentiate yourself from others in your field?
Well, that was simple. At the time, we were small and were entering the market; however, our quality was our biggest selling point. We provided outstanding phones to the visitors on our website; the deals were just so good that people were just buying them all. Then with that outstanding customer satisfaction, our customer base began to grow as people would tell each other about our business.
Good for you, selling good and honest products that are actually good always pays off in the long term. What was the biggest mistake you made, and what did you do to learn from it?
Yes, our company definitely made a lot of mistakes. However, what I like most about our company is that we had really learned from our mistakes. There was that time when the iPhone 5 came out and it was new, we had always marked the prices lower to our clients, but for this one we kept it the same. Instantly, our client base wasn’t happy about it. But, we quickly changed it. Now, to this day, we always ensure the best deals and highest quality products for our clients.
