Oh, sorry, I agree that most pesticides are on the peel! I was just pointing out that some are not avoided by peeling. I have also heard that cooking fruits and vegetables can help to break down some pesticides.

Also, organic means no synthetic chemicals, so you are right there, but at least in the US I know that organic farmers still use dangerous things like rotenone (linked to Parkinson's disease), bromomethane (I think this one is being phased out this year though), and boric acid.

I am interested in learning more about GMO's, but do you have any sources that you would suggest? My usual sources, like wikipedia, mostly give evidence that GMO's are probably fine.
