in food •  7 years ago  (edited)

Dear steemit friends, on my previous blog we talk about a waray-waray delicacy which is the moron. As I observed the post received more than 20 dollars, so I jumped to the conclusion that some readers are interested in this topic. Because of this I felt motivated and inspired to continue posting and promoting our culture.

So now, here is another waraynon’s delicacy I want to share with you.

''Binagol''

Binagol is another waraynon’s pride. It is a popular delicacy produced by the municipality of Dagami, Leyte. The term ‘’Binagol came from a root word ‘’bagol’’ which means coconut shell. This delicacy is from shredded Talyan – a root crop species similar to Gabi mixed with egg, butter, sugar, coconut milk, and nuts. This mixture is being cooked and put inside the polished coconut shell and will be wrap uniquely with banana leaves and nylon, making it presentable to serve.
