Heyy everyone!! wanted to share my story that happened yesterday! it was a really long day! in fact I woke up around 6.30 am to get a long train to Windsor where I was cooking for 30 people a 12 course meal.
I love food and cooking, but for those types of events I have to be really focused, on point and have the energy and be super organised. I have made a plan of what I will be cooking and when.
I had some help, but the amount of food was made, i cant describe it! Its a huge amount! We started off with loads of canapes.
I made home made piroshki ( mini buns ) with different fillings, cabbage and beef.
Then I made home made beef dumplings, that took soo long! 350 pieces by hand!
My signature dish which is hacahpuri - its a 4 cheese pastry thats soo good!
I also made 3 russian salads, olivier, vinegret and shuba!
Next was mushroom julienne in a bread bowl topped with more cheese :)
Then I also made kompot which a russian berry juice, loads of canapes and for main course we had chicken garlic kievs - home made and chips!
THAT IS BLACK CAVIAR BTW!
Great post. Everything looks very interesting and delicious. I tried mushroom julienne in a bread bowl and it was great. I would like to have a recipe to try to do it myself. You had a really hard day.
