Lucky me

My husband got into giving me presents all of a sudden. Well I don't mind :).

Got me this cute necklace two days back. And then yesterday a food processing machine. Felt like Christmas all over again, except we didn't do any presents for Christmas. I was already thinking what I could ask for today to keep the continuity going. Just joking.

Healthy snacks, super easy

We just came back from shopping for tonight's dinner. And it's the kind of food that sits in the oven quite a while, and I was already hungry and wanted a little snack to go with our afternoon tea. And thought I'd see what my new food processor is capable of. Found dates and cashews and walnuts and dried cranberries in the cupboard, put about even amounts of all of these (little less of the cranberries and little more of the dates) in the food processor, added two spoons of melted coconut oil and let the machine do its work. It came out a perfect consistency. Rolled little balls of them. Then put together some maca powder and cacao and cinnamon and ginger powder and cardamom, and rolled the balls through that. I just used my fantasy, you could roll them in anything you want :).

They were awesome with tea. And really, that would not have been an option without my new kitchen tool. I'm already in love with it, it is super handy. Just another one of those things where, once you have them, you can't imagine being without :).

A food processor or not?

Ever been considering a food processor for in the kitchen? I was considering it for a while. There are definitely quite a few things that are so much more easy to make if you have this extra tool to support you. If you enjoy spending time in the kitchen but don't mind increasing your productivity, then this is the tool for you!

And for the snacks, you should give them a try. With any kind of nuts and dried fruit combinations, healthy and nutritious and very tasty. Hope you will make and enjoy them too! Thanks for reading, for your upvotes, for your follows!!

Wow looks great. I haven't had a food processor ever since I came to China but I have been interested in buying one. You should name this snack something. "Date balls"? lol. They do look really good.

Lol. Well yes they kind of deserve a name don't they ;). Date balls sounds good! And about the food processor, I'm guessing it will really be worth your while!
