Goodmorning fellow steempunks. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to rock the new week. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I bet the kitchen in many homes is getting quite busy to create a few yummy dishes to share with family and friends.

Though we are not Americans, we have so many American friends here in Cambodia that we usually end up celebrating Thanksgiving too. Any occasion is good to share food and drinks with friends right?

What's cooking at your house in the coming days?

Ingredients (serves 2-3)

  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 carrot, roughly chopped
  • 2-3 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup papaya chunks
  • 1 dragon fruit (I used a white one this time)
  • 1 big banana, frozen (or 3 small tropical bananas)
  • 3 cups water
  • Fresh turmeric and ginger root to taste
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil

Directions

  1. Blend spinach and water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick, add more liquid base. If you have a high-speed blender, throw in everything at once.
  2. Add superfoods/toppings if you like. I used goji berries and chia seeds this time.

Happy blending!!!!!

I was just thinking about you today when I was making a smoothie before the gym :) hope you’re well

Ohh what did you put into it yoday? All good here. Getting busy with the move and say our goodbyes to the friends we made here. Gonna miss Siem Reap, but it is time to move back to the coast and more jungle life. How are you?

Mixed walnuts and different fruits together . And man goodbyes are always tough but new palces means new memories . I’m at the homestretch of my semester so just juggling it all

Ohh yum. Love walnuts but they are hard to come by here. Good luck and I'm sure you will ace this semester.

The Goji berries match perfectly in the smoothie

Thanks my friend!

you have a typo in your recipe, unless you have a lawsuit going with your dragonfruit. ;)

Hehe.. that's a good one. thanks for pointing out!

:)

Hi my dear! I want to energize my body in this sunny day, here in Mauritius the climate so hot, i need to make a smoothie to can start my day well, thank you for your great recipe.

Ohh ever thought of making ice cream out of the green smoothie. bet your little one will love ice cream for breakfast too... just freeze all the ingredients except the liquid, blend when still frozen with some of the liquid (water, coconut water, nut milk, etc) Soft serve ice cream for breakfast... so good on the hot sunny day! Have a lovely rest of the week. At least the rain has stopped ;)

I never heard of using olive oil in a smoothie before!

Hehe, coconut oil though. It's to add a healthy fat which curbs the appetite and make it a filling meal and it also helps in the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. have a lovely day!

I must have been deceived by the lovely green color ;) Have a wonderful day too!
