Ingredients
1 whole Tilapia
1 tbsp garlic
½ cup vinegar
1 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
1 cup bell pepper (red and green)
1 cup cooking oil
1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
1 thumb ginger, cut into strips
2 cups water
3 tbsp tomato paste
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 small carrot, cut into strips
Instructions
- In a pan, put oil and wait until it is hot enough then put the Tilapia to fry.
- Cook the Tilapia until it is crispy brown then set aside.
- Saute the garlic, onion, carrots, ginger, and bell pepper (red and green) then add 2 cups of water and simmer for 5-7 minutes
- Pour the tomato paste, sugar, vinegar and fish sauce then mix thoroughly
- Dilute the cornstarch in ½ cup of water then add to thicken the sauce then simmer until the saucy consistency is achieved.
- Pour the sauce on top of the Tilapia.
- Serve hot. Share and Enjoy!
