[ArtDeVivre moment] Southern style BBQ in Dublin

This weekend is a bank holiday weekend in Ireland, and I was thinking what would be the best way to celebrate? Well, let's eat all day. This was the opportunity for me to discover that the dirty ol' town has a lot of BBQ places, as most places in Dublin, they are hidden, for the locals here, we always walk by them without suspecting what's in them.

Bison Bar & BBQ

We first went to the Bison Bar & BBQ which is the best rated in Google reviews, the inside of the restaurant was very nice. We sat outside to enjoy the 5minutes of Sun for the day :D. We ordered a pork pulled fries platter and a menu to taste a bit to everything, however, the quantities were deceptively small. Please be the judges, we paid 30 euros for these:

There was barely any meat on the ribs, could it be because the restaurant was empty? Anyway, we tried it, don't think I'll come back. Decided not to get this small inconvenience ruin our day, we continued to Pitt Bros - the BBQ project on George's street.

Pitt Bros

We had barely 5 minutes of digestive walk to get there, and we were back at it again ^^. This time was exceptional, for 20 euros, we were able to have 3 types of meats and 2 big sides, and you can notice that the portion are more aligned with US standards: a huge stack of pulled pork, beef briskets ribs and 2 sides: coleslaw and mac'n'cheese:

I highly recommend this place, moreover, we got free ice cream. SO 10 euros for 2, it's a very good deal for this quantity and quality!

Aungier Danger

Then, we entered the Danger zone across the street and got a very satisfying oreo marshmallow doughnut worldly reknown Angier Danger:

Tea time

After walking for 30 minutes and meditating about the meaning of life and the Now in Saint Stephen Green park, it was tea time and we were hungry again. We started heading towards Queen of Tarts to enjoy some Haloweenee treats, Victoria sponge cake and carrot cake:
