Roasted pumpkin chili 🎃( step how-to tutorial - VEGAN- with many photos) / 🎃 Geröstetes Kürbis Chili

Hey good evening my dear Steemians !
Yes the contest is over now and I picked up a winner and cooked also the recipe idea!

So thanks to @thekitchenfairy with the idea to make an awesome chili with the pumpkin . The other ideas were also very good, and it was a hard decision for me! I decided for this idea because it looks good for a prepping meal which you can eat, without loosing taste or texture, also after 2 or even 3 days :-)

Hallo und guten Abend mein lieber Steemians!
Ja der Contest ist nun vorbei und ich habe einen Gewinner ausgewählt! Und ich habe auch die Rezeptidee nachgekocht!

Also danke an @thekitchenfairy mit der Idee, mit dem Kürbis ein tolles Chili zu machen. Die anderen Ideen waren auch sehr gut und es war eine harte Entscheidung für mich! Ich habe mich für diese Idee entschieden, weil es gut für ein "preper Meal" ist, dass man essen kann, auch ohne Geschmack oder Konsistenz zu verlieren, und dass auch nach 2 oder sogar 3 Tagen :-)

1 Hokkaidō pumpkin, peeled, seeded !!!
4 tomatoes, roasted (see below)
1 onion, sliced
3 garlic, crushed
1-2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2-3/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne powder
1 tsp dried oregano
Freshly grated nutmeg 1 tsp
1 tbsp BBQ sauce
1 tin tomato paste
2 tins water
1 can sweet corn, drained (i had unfortulatly now corn)
1 can black beans, drained (i took instead for this green beans)
1 can peas

Dann lasst uns keine Zeit verlieren und direkt zum Rezept und den Zutaten über gehen :-)

1 Hokkaido-Kürbis, geschält, entkernt !!!
4 Tomaten, geröstet (siehe unten)
1 Zwiebel, in Scheiben geschnitten
3 Knoblauch, zerkleinert
1-2 EL Olivenöl
2 TL Kreuzkümmel
1 / 2-3 / 4 TL Zimtpulver
1 / 4-1 / 2 TL Cayenne Pulver
1 TL getrockneter Oregano
Frisch geriebene Muskatnuss 1 TL
1 EL BBQ-Sauce
1 Dose Tomatenmark
2 Dosen Wasser
1 Dose Zuckermais, abgetropft (ich hatte leider jetzt Mais)
1 Dose schwarze Bohnen, (ich habe stattdessen für diese Bohnen genommen)
1 Dose Erbsen

🚧Wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr die Samen super anpflanzen, damit nächstes Jahr evt. ein neuer Kürbis wächst :-)

But enough talked In the first step, you should roast the pumpkin for about 30 minutes at 200 ° ...

After this, place the tomatoes on the same sheet, turn off oven and leave pumpkin and tomatoes as is, until oven totally cooled...

Aber genug geredet Im ersten Schritt solltest du den Kürbis für etwa 30 Minuten bei 200° rösten ...

Danach die Tomaten auf das gleiche Blatt legen, den Ofen ausschalten und den Kürbis und die Tomaten so lassen, bis der Ofen vollständig abgekühlt ist ...

Once cooled, roughly chop pumpkin and tomatoes...
Heat in the meantime oil and saute onion and garlic along with spices and stir in peas and the beans.

Add in tomato paste and water. Then stir in a little bit BBQ sauce and adjust the flavor to your favorite taste.

Nach dem Abkühlen Kürbis und Tomaten grob hacken...
In der Zwischenzeit Öl erhitzen und Zwiebeln und Knoblauch mit Gewürzen anbraten und Erbsen und Bohnen unterrühren.

Fügt nun Tomatenmark und Wasser hinzu. Dann rührt ein bisschen BBQ-Soße ein und passen diese eurem Lieblingsgeschmack an.

Ja das sieht doch gar nicht mal so schlecht aus, vergesst nun nicht die Gewürze hinzuzufügen. :-)

Yes and to be honest, I think this is my first full vegan dish. It tastes really good for that.I think the great spices give the dish the right kick.

Ja und ich muss ehrlich sagen, ich glaube, dass dies mein erstes komplettes veganes Gericht ist. Dafür schmeckt es richtig gut. Ich glaube die tollen Gewürze geben dem Gericht den richtigen kick.

yes, but I can't cook because we have those who already have wives, wives who prepare everything, while husbands make a living...

Oh okay. Then I learned something new today 👍 this sounds like an big difference to our culture here in Europa. I like also to cook 👨‍🍳 and we have even cooking shows on tv, with male chefs 😀

it's amazing that men can cook ...
we have been a tradition from our ancestors until now has never changed so we do not know what homework, we just work work ...

Aceh is in Indonesia, am originally from Indonesia. There are thousand islands in Indonesia, and many men cook. Even in my family, all the men cook for the wives when they can, when they have the time, when they want to spoil their spouses and loved ones, just FYI :)

Many famous chefs in Indonesia are also males

Not to mention we have tons of food vendors and the cooks are mainly males.

Indonesia is the breadth of our lives with life where you are very far apart, if our tradition is the home of the wife of all who do, while we only work from the morning until late afternoon ...

this brother once went to paradise, if there is a family or friend try to ask how our life is treated ..

It's almost 3 AM where you are,but it is almost 8 PM here...so it works... Cheers/Prost! by the way..
The recipe feels right,the pics look great...(thanks to you being a master photographer, too..) 😉
Too bad,there is no meat in there,so if I take it as a meal,I'll be hungry before I get up from the table...😐
But it might work as an appetizer or a spread...as Ajvar if it was ticher..
Great job anyway...

Yep and what I don’t show yesterday was my little cheat. I put some awesome fried ham cubes as a topping on top 😊 i could also imagine that some little sausages would fit very well 👌

Als ich beim ersten Überfliegen des Textes las "Hokkaido schälen" hab ich ja überlegt wieso - denn Hokkaido hat ja den Vorteil dass man ihn eben nicht schälen muss. Aber klar, zum Rösten muss man natürlich ans Innere :) Obwohl man ja doch mal versuchen könnte den einfach so in Stücke zu schneiden und dann in den Ofen - oder klappt das nicht?

Jau stimmt. Die Schale ist wirklich essbar. Werd ich nächstes mal antesten :-) Danke für den Hinweis 👍
