For Easter and Christmas I like to do a lot of baking to give away and this year is no exception. Normally I bake Panettone and that is what I have done this year but decided to give it a twist. I mixed the yeast dough as usual but decided to include raisins, cranberries and walnuts in the dough. When it was time to shape rolled it I rolled it flat (instead of a round loaf) and decided to fill it with fresh sliced apples, since I bought a box of apples. For the filling instead of using flour, graham wafer crumbs or bread crumbs I used the serial Harvest Crunch. With the additional nuts in the serial I figured I could not go wrong. I mixed this with finely sliced apples and the results you will see in the pictures. Have already given away one and feedback was great due to the fact of the healthy ingredients. Oh, one more thing, I did not add any sugar to the filling.
