I woke up yesterday wondering if it was voting day. Judging by how cranky most people seemed to be I should have known it was.

What is it with voting day that makes people so nasty? Relax!!!

After finally finding out that I had to go vote, voting and following my nose to cupcakes, buying a few for an early morning sugar rush, we decided to head up to Wentworth Falls for breakfast.

Little Niche Nosh

Located in Wentworth Falls, just behind the main stretch, Little Niche Nosh is a take away shop specialising in exquisite vegan/vegetarian food.

No kidding on the "little" part as it's basically all kitchen, a couple of fridges and the register inside with a small seating area at the front.

This was the first time we have gone and I was very surprised and a little disappointed to see how little space they had because we did want to sit down somewhere and eat.

We ended up going for something portable that we can eat in the car on our way up to the pie shop just a minute or two up the road.

Chia cups with chocolate coated blueberries with what tasted like coconut cream. And Mango lassi 🤤🤤👌👌

As we were about to leave, Me with my super preggo sense of smell, instantly picked up on curry cooking and exclaimed out loud that I could smell it. The cook must have picked on my enthusiasm, maybe even saw drool sliding down the side of my mouth, because he offered me a taste.

And OMG you guys!!!!!

Seriously, if they had room for us to sit down and eat, I would have done that and munched on that Vegan Chickpea Curry stat. It was so damn good!

But, we left with our cups, despite me still raving about the curry and headed up to Mountain High Pies.

Mountain High Pies

Is a mountains legend and as you may have guessed from the name, they specialise in pies.

Meat pies, vegetarian pies, dessert pies and more recently, or perhaps we've only just noticed it, they've been serving up some amazing drinks.

We actually went back today to get some Mango frappes since Little Niche Nosh was closed today and we couldn't get more Mango lassis.

We have our usual favourites. I would usually get the Pumpkin and Leek pie and the Big Breakfast pie, and hubby would get the Tuna Mornay and the Lamb, Rosemary and Shiraz.

But yesterday we decided to switch it up a bit and try something new.

On my lap are yesterday's pie selection of Chunky Steak and Steak, Mushroom & Guinness for hubby; a Chicken & Green Curry and Satay, Lentil & Chickpea for me.

Did I mention I've been craving curries?

You'd think that satisfied my curry craving but I just couldn't shake that badass Vegan Chickpea Curry from Little Niche Nosh so....

Ya, we went back. We were only gone for about 30 minutes and apparently in that time the curry flew out the door and what you're looking at here was the last serving. And as far as servings go this was HUGE!!

😱😱😱 I swear someone's looking after me up there.

We didn't get to have a sit down breakfast but we did have enough food to feed us for the whole day and night, with left overs still for today.

Over all I think we pulled out! I didn't need to cook, hubby enjoyed his pies, I enjoyed my curries and we spent the day watching the new Robin Hood and the Bourne series.

Nothing exciting really, just enjoying our last "just us" days together chilling out. It's the simple things at the end of the day that makes me happy.

That and curry. Lots of curry. Preferably vegan.
