Ingredients
220g of wholemeal flour
110g of cold, salted butter
a little cold water
6 silverbeet leaves, including stems
100g of cooked brown rice
200g of grated tasty cheese
1 egg
salt
pepper
Cooking direction
1.Add whole meal flour in a large bowl .Add butter mix in flour until get crumbly mixture . 2.Add two tablespoons of cold water and process until dough comes together. If too dry, add more water. Turn out onto floured bench and kneed until smooth.
3.Wrap the pastry in plastic and refigerate for 1 hour . 4.Lightly grease a 24cm spring-form pie dish. Preheat oven and a baking tray to 200 degrees celcius
5.Line the pie dish with pastery and baked in 180c oven for 15 to 20 mins
6.Wash silver beet leaves boil in salted water about 2 to 4 mins .
- Squeeze water from the leaves and roughly choped them.
8.Mix chopped leaves in brown rice, cheese , egg .
8.Season with salt and pepper and bake in a preheated 180C oven for 20-25 minutes .
