I try to donate blood whenever they're holding a drive in my area. Rather than just your usual juice and cookies, they often have more generous offerings at these events. Sometimes they bring food in from outside sources, or they may cook on site (hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, mac & cheese). In any case, it's just a little bonus for your time donating.
