The Craftsman is the Latest Addition to the Bangkok Breakfast Scene.

For a long time, Bangkok was an absolute wasteland when it came to breakfast. Any other time of the day and it is an absolute food-lovers heaven, but breakfast...nope, forget about it. Thankfully, things are improving.

THE CRAFTSMAN

THE LOCATION

The Craftsman is located in the residential district of Yennakart in Bangkok. Behind a garden of mature bamboo, an old Timber house complete with shutters has been renovated for the cafe, and gives the place a relaxed homely feel. As I looked around there were many people eating, working or relaxing. It certainly was a nice place to be on a sunny Bangkok morning.

THE FOOD

The craftsman has an extensive Western Menu from which to choose. I opted for the "Craftsman Toast" which was delicious and fresh: Freshly baked sourdough break, with thick cut leg ham, mashed avocado, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and rocket. Served with 2 organic poached eggs and Hollandaise Sauce. It was exceptionally good.

THE DRINKS

My breakfast drink requirements are pretty simple. A decent hot coffee and some kind of fruit juice. Today, I opted for the hot cappuccino and a mixed berry smoothy. Again, both were top quality and the smoothy contained fresh strawberry pieces and blueberries.

THE VERDICT

If you are around Yennakart, then this a solid breakfast choice. Ample parking, strong wifi and comfortable seats are all big pluses. Add to that, staff who clearly like working here by the smiles on their faces and you have a winning formula. I'll be back for sure.

Nice info to share. I must visit there whenever I visit in Bangkok. But what about the price. Are they expensive?

yes, you are correct, a breakfast like this comparatively is a little expensive. A Thai breakfast of rice soup, local coffee and an orange juice I could buy in my neighbourhood for about $3.50. This breakfast cost about $13.

$13 for a breakfast? Then what for lunch and diner? Whatever.. I will go....

My wife and I both had the morning without work so we decided to enjoy it :) , but this is not an every day thing for me :p

That coffee looks delicious

Would love to visit this place.
Do check photos shared by me.
