[EASY DAILY FOOD 56] SEASONED FRIED TOFU RECIPE / LIFE STORYsteemCreated with Sketch.

in food •  8 years ago  (edited)

This is made with tofu.

It was my new second side dish I made in this week. Before I make seasoned tofu, I prepared rice with hemp seeds.

Next step was seasoned fried tofu. Tofu has a short shelf life so I almost cook tofu as soon as I buy it. It is so easy to cook. Put sliced tofu in greased pan. If you have a sesame oil or perilla oil, it would be better. When the bottom color becomes beige, turn them over. Put seasoned soy sauce on tofu and cover it.

Cook them more for 3 to 5 minutes over low heat.

INGREDIENT for SOY SAUCE:

little green onion chopped

1~2 garlic chopped

little cayenne pepper grounds

1 teaspoon seasame seed

100~150 ml soy sauce

Half of tofu

Measure the ingredients to your taste.

I fried some chicken tenders while I was waiting for tofu done.

You have me wanting to make some fried tofu! I like it with a mix of dried seaweed, sesame seeds, and other spices. It's very satisfying for a long time. Happy cooking!

Forgot to tell you. :( I asked my mother and she haven't heard about intaking seeds from Elm trees as food. She also said that some part of the trees may be used as a Korean medical herb.

Thanks for checking, @bontonstory! Please tell your mother, "Thank you", for me!

Check my 'Thank you message' in your wallet. :) See you!

Mixing sesame seeds will be good. Other spices?? You are maybe a fan of 'spicy' @haphazard-hstead Let me know later how it was. :)

No, I'm not a fan of the hot spices, but I do like smoky and salty flavors. I take the leaves of Elephant Garlic and add just a little salt, to let them ferment in their own juices. They have a complex smoky flavor that is so good with tofu!

umm...I wonder the taste. You are so great! @haphazard-hstead

Thank you for posting @bontonstory.
