RICE WITH KIMCHI AND SPICY JAJANG RAMEN / Life Photography

in food •  8 years ago  (edited)

I use kimchi for various foods.

I make kimchi with rice, noodle with kimchi, Fried kimchi rice, kimchi ramen and so on. I asked my friend to have dinner together. My friend was planning to buy instant ramen. Something new occurred to my mind. I asked her to buy two ramen, jajang ramen and spicy ramen. I decided to make kimchi bap(rice).

.

.

Stir-fry mellow kimchi. For kimchi bap, mellow kimchi is better than fresh kimchi. I squeezed kimchi little dry. Added some perilla seed oil in the pan and stir-fried chopped kimchi. The smell stimulated my taste.

I tried to find some meats in the fridge and freezer. Nothing? I thought whether I have to change the food. At that time , I found out some garlic hams. Sliced the hams to a small size and stir-fried. I scrambled two eggs then. I liked the beautiful colors. It was delicious colors for me.

Everything for my kimchi bap(rice) was ready. When I put water to boil for noodles, my friend came. Jajang ramen is an instant version of jajangmyeon that Korean really love. Nowadays, instant jajang ramen was improved, some of them looked like a real jajangmyeon. I boiled noodles of two raman and mixed jajang sauce and spicy sauce with ratio 2:1. I called it golden ratio of the spicy jajang ramen I make.

Our dinner was ready in about 30 minutes.

I thought I need a sweet juice for the spicy taste. I picked peach juice.

After cooking done, when I say, "Let's eat!", I'm so glad and proud of me.

This cute sweet gummy was my little dessert.

Have a good meal! See you again.

@bontonstory! I like jajangmyeon but not the instant - the traditional one !
I love it!
kachi mugo!
I want one kkkk^ ^

I know the jajangmyeon is so delicious. ;) Thank you so much @englishtchrivy

@bontonstory I want to make one but the jajang - it's hard to make and I can't find any in the Asian store. They do have the instant ones but I prefer the traditional ones.. the noodles I can make myself but the sauce - oh I miss my Ajuma students ..I should have listened hard when they were discussing recipes back then!

Forget it. Just use instant jajang ramen. 'jajang ramen' of Paldo is similar to original jajangmyeon. Am I bad? ;) Enjoy! @englishtchrivy

@bontonstory you're bad? why would you be bad? for saying forget it?
lol it's allowed kkkkkk ^ ^

I might as well do - what I can't have now is pointless to sulk on isn't it but soon I'll be lucky .. someone is coming here from Kr and bringing me those
^ ^ I can't wait! One of my friends who's teaching there would be touring EU and will be bringing me those! So.. yey! hahahaha

That is good for you @englishtchrivy
Great! Great! :)

As always your posts are so yummy. Kimchi is a bit spicy for me but tastes good but I can't have too much. My husband loves spicy food and kimchi is always a nice addition to a meal. Upvoted

Do you know there's white kimchi? ;) It is called Backimchi, it's not spicy. I love the kimchi too. Thank you for your happiness story always. See you again @happyharmonymay

Bonjour @bontonstory.

No...bleujay does not know anything about it.

There will be those who put out something similar and may even be successful but hopefully @bleujay will be unique enough in style just as you are in order to prevail here at Steemit.

Always enjoy visiting your site with its interesting and glamourous posts.

Wishing you all the best. A bientot.

@bleujay is still unique :) You have your own style and word. I like it so much.
