Hi Friends,
As you most of you know by now, I love meat. I have recently shared some different types of jerky I have tried, and I was able to try a couple of new ones, which I wanted to share with my followers today.
First up is a spicy venison (deer) jerky in a stick form:
This was a fantastic snack. It was quite spicy with habanero in it, and the jerky was a perfect texture – not too hard to chew. I rate this venison jerky a 5 out of 5.
Newt is a sweet and spicy beef jerky:
I really enjoyed this as well. It was a little thinner than I usually like my jerky to be, but the flavor was on point. One critique I have is that it felt like the “sweet” part was maybe put on after it was dried, making it slightly sticky, as opposed to it being backed into the jerky. The spiciness was medium, but was the right amount for the sweetness of the meat. Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5.
