Excellent post indeed. For many years as a younger person I ate fast foods because time was a factor when doing my apprenticeship. Things like potato chips and cola drinks formed a great part of refuelling when working in the heat of the tropics. Lunch was again fast food as 15 minutes was no where near enough time for a decent meal. Later after getting married to a registered nurse I began to be told that "That's not good for you, you need to read the labels". An so began a journey learning about additives and fats and sugars and salt and a heck of a lot more. Did it change my ways of eating, well slowly over the years I have changed but maybe it should have been faster. Then I began work at a private hospital, that changed everything. A visit to a cardiac ward or a diabetes ward and one sees the long term results of the accumulation of these "Death Packages". I think there can be more done regarding labelling and more public education and what those little tables really mean. Again great info post. One product at a time.
