Rice pudding
It is one of the favourites desserts for Venezuelan people even children or adult and it is very popular among Venezuelan meals.
I prepare it in traditional way and it is really delicious and creamy.
Any rice of regular grain would work for this recipe. I used normal sugar without condensend milk but it is your choice to use either sugar or condensed milk.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
*200gr or a cup of rice
*2 cups (400mil) of water
*4 cups (800ml) of milk or more than ½ liter.
*Cinnamon powder and sticks
*1+ ½ cup (200gr) of sugar, it a depends on you of want the rice very sweet or not.
Directions:
Get the water to boil and add the rice, as it gets tender and the water goes to seeth, the pour the milk, cinnamon sugar and let in cook on medium fire.
Stir from time to time so that the cooks well and add water if necessary when the rice is almost seeth, turn off the flame and let it get cold.
You can add some more cinnamon powder and enjoy your pudding either cold or still not by offering individual servings decorated with mint leave or some cherries on top.
