Recipe - Instant Pot Spicy Spaghetti

Alright guys,

I don't know if you've heard of the Instant Pot, but it's the most amazing invention on earth. I got it recently on a whim after hearing about it at work and decided to put it to use. I was addicted. I've cooked lots of things like Mac and Cheese, Tomato Basil Soup, and my own Spicy Spaghetti.

Who doesn't like spaghetti? However, I love my spaghetti very spicy and I always want seconds after I'm done eating my first plate. I wanted to share my recipe with you fellow steemers!

Quy's Instant Pot Spicy Spaghetti

Ingredients

6 qt Instant Pot
1 lb Spaghetti Pasta
1 lb Mild/Spicy Ground Pork
20 oz Water
1 24oz Marinara Sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes (I use green pepper and onion)
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder, Italian Seasoning, Salt, Pepper
Parmesan Cheese

Directions

1. Set Instant Pot to Saute mode and wait until it says "HOT". Add ground pork and season with garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Break the meat apart and cook the meat until browned.
2. Hit cancel on Instant Pot and break spaghetti pasta in half. Place on top of the ground pork and make sure it's evenly spread out to avoid sticking together while cooking.
3. Pour Spaghetti/Marinara Sauce, Diced Tomatoes, and 20 oz of water into the Instant Pot. Make sure the noodles are covered with liquid.
4. Set to Pressure Cook Manual (High Pressure) and set the timer for 8 minutes.
5. Once timer is up, release the valve for quick release. Release the top, stir well, and pour out any excess liquid if any.
6. Serve warm with Parmesan cheese on top and enjoy!
