                                                   Kale Chips Recipe

Kale chips are very nutritious for you.  It's a new year, and what a better way to start the new year by eating healthier.  Kale is full of vitamin A, B6, B3, B2, B1, C, E, K, fiber,omega-3 fats, protein, folate, iron, calcium, manganese, and phosphorus.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch (kale)
  • sea salt
  • olive oil

Optional additives for taste (sprinkle on top before baking)

garlic powder

onion powder

paprika

Directions

Thoroughly wash the kale, then carefully cut the kale leaves off the steam.  Pat dry the kale leaves.  The key to the perfect crispy kale chips is make sure they are dry.  Place the kale leaves on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. When placing the kale on the cookie sheet, do a thin layer of them and don't over lap them or some of the kale will not cook crispy.   Sprinkle olive oil on the kale,  and sprinkle sea salt on the kale.  If you desire to have a little more taste to the kale chips, you can at garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.

Cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown not burnt at 350 degrees.  Let the kale chips cool then they are ready to eat.

I made my kale chips tonight two ways one batch with olive oil, garlic powder and paprika; the other batch I made with olive oil, and sea salt. I personally liked just the batch with olive oil, and sea salt.  Thank you for reading my post.  I hope you enjoyed the recipe.  If you like my posts please follow me @chrisir
