** Igado Recipe **
Igado is an Ilocano dish made from pork tenderloin and pig’s innards such as liver, kidney and heart. This Filipino cuisine recipe is quick and easy to make and ofcourse DEElish! Learn how to cook this fab dish right here on the Pinoy Food Recipe in the Philippines.
INGREDIENTS:
⚫1/2 Kilo pork tenderloin, cut into strips
⚫1/2 kilo pork liver, cut into strips
⚫1 medium sized carrots, cut into strips
⚫1 large red bell pepper, cut into strips
⚫1 cup green peas
⚫5 pcs. garlic cloves, chopped
⚫1 medium-sized onion, chopped
⚫5 pieces dried bay leaves
⚫Salt and pepper to taste
⚫1 cup water
⚫7 tbsp.soy sauce
⚫1/4 cup vinegar
⚫2 tbsp. cooking oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat oil in a pan.
Saute the garlic and onions.
Add pork tenderloin and fry it 'til the color there light brown.
add soy sauce and water then simmer until pork is tender.
Add dried bay leaves, salt and pepper then simmer for another 2 minutes.
Add pork liver and vinegar then simmer another 3 minutes.
Add the carrots then simmer for another 3 minutes.
Add bell pepper and green peas then simmer for 3 minutes to thicken the remaining sauce.
READY TO SERVE. :)
