Corona corporate continues the long-standing tradition of promoting a lime wedge in their beer, claiming that it triggers "carefree enjoyment moments" and inspires people to "find their beach"
The association of Corona with sandy beaches dates back to when Corona was only a Mexican domestic beer which young vacationing Americans would drink and then recount to their friends at home: hazy memories of delicious Mexican beer enjoyed on pristine beaches.
When Corona made the decision to export to the United States, they decided to maintain the beach association, assuming that they could do a better job of promoting the "beach in a bottle" experience than the returning inebriated vacationers.
Drink responsibly!
