B.B.Q Night with All Cousins | Enjoying Good Food is Compulsory Part of Good Life

Hey folks, @cryptokraze here with an exciting post about B.B.Q Party that we celebrated last night. There is a tradition in our family where Newly married boys give party to all family cousins. As my brother and one of my cousin was recently married, both of them decided to treat us. I found this tradition very good because all cousins gather and the atmosphere gets excited with lots of fun. Normally, we tend to go to some restaurant but this time it was decided to gather at roof top of our house and do self cooking.

Arrangements of Party

We decided to make 2 dishes at party. One is the everyone's favourite "Chicken Tikka" and second is also liked by all of the boys that is "Beef Karahi". Chicken was purchased in morning because it requires good time for marination to make good quality Chicken Tikka. Beef was purchased fresh and preserved in refrigerator. Yogurt was also procured because it is required to make "Raita" that will be served with "Chicken Tikka"

Making of B.B.Q Grill

As the venue of party was rooftop of our house and there is no built-in B.B.Q counter or Grill. So, we have to make local grill and it was done by placing bricks in a rectangle shape. Coals have to be burnt on these bricks to make heat more intense that is required for proper cooking on chicken.

The Battle of Ludo Game

It was about 7 P.M when cousins started to arrive at the venue and excitement started to roll in. Whenever we have such gathering, there has to be a battle of Ludo Game. Why I am calling it a battle ? This is because it gets hot during the game with audience cheering up their favourite players and exchange of words between teams. This is a part of gathering that is loved by everyone and we designated a place on roof specially for this battle of Ludo.

Exciting Atmosphere

When all the cousins gathered, the real exciting time started with everyone sharing their things and enjoying. B.B.Q Grill was getting ready with burning coals and chicken pieces were being inserted in to B.B.Q sticks. One of the cousins was preparing the Beef Karachi in Kitchen. Ludo Battle was going on with full heat and there were shouting and exchange of words between players. Little kids were running here and there as this was the perfect spot for them to enjoy in their own style. In short, everyone was enjoying in their own style and this is I called a good life.

Chicken Tikka Recipe and Preparation Method

I am dedicating this part of the post to @princessmewmew as she was interested in the recipe of traditional "Chicken Tikka".

Ingredients

• 2 Kg Chicken Pieces
• 1 Tablespoon Garlic
• 1 Tablespoon Ginger
• 1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
• 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder
• 8 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
• 1 Packet of National Chicken Tikka Masala Mix (50g)

Methods

• Place light cuts on pieces of chicken
• Marinate chicken pieces with all the ingredients and give stay time of 3 to 4 hours.
• Insert the chicken pieces in to sticks
• Place the sticks on B.B.Q grill on heated coals and cook from both sides.
• When chicken pieces turn reddish, check pieces by pressing to see if is cooked properly or not.
• Your chicken tikka are ready
• Serve them with Sauce or Raita

Enjoying the Meal

When the meal was ready, all the activities got stopped and everyone adjusted their sittings. Chicken Tikka and Beef Karahi were served with Leavened Bread. Tomato Sauces and Raita was also served as side items. We don't feel good unless we are served Coca Cola with spicy food. The Meal was so tasty that I also started to eat right away and forgot to take snaps at the start. It was about mid of the meal when I realized it and took few snaps. Well, this was the confirmation that every item was tasty and all of the family cousins enjoyed this meal to fullest.

Final Words

To sum up this party night, I would like to say that Enjoying good meal is a compulsory part of a good life. To spend good time with family members is a thing that I give more importance and feel a part of good life. There was so much happiness all around and this gathering proved to be a good addition in life and memories of all of our family cousins. Not only, we all enjoyed good food but also spent wonderful quality time.
