Hey folks @cryptokraze here with my new Blog about Food and Health awareness in which I will highlight the health benefits associated with Mamey Sapote. We should add variety of foods in our diet because they have bio-active components in them that help in preventing many diseases and provide other health benefits.

Hey @cryptokraze. This seems to be an amazing fruit health wise. Thank you for sharing it with us. I tried to search and find a fruit which resembles it's taste, so I can get an idea what it tastes like. But I found that people say: "it is unlike anything most people have ever tasted". This makes me think of the time I spent in Vietnam - I had tropical fruits there that I've never tasted before, and it was exquisite. Could you compare the mamey sapote to any other fruit, or is it's taste completely unique?

The sapote or nispero, is the fruit for me the sweetest that exists, I love that fruit, for I would eat it all the days of my life, I know of all its properties and how good it is for the health of your organism, thanks for all this information.

If it's what i think it is, We call it Agualuba over here in Northern Nigeria.
It is sometimes quite souar but if you're lucky you might the one that is quite sweet.
Most pregnant women like it a lot over here as well as children.

Hello, could you please provide scientific evidence for the things you are writing about?

For example:

Improves Heart Health

  • where are the studies that confirm this? Why do you think that cholesterol is bad for cardiovascular health? Tons of studies proved that cholesterol and saturated fat are not connected with cardiovascular diseases so where is the evidence that is proving this?

Promotes Weight Loss

  • weight loss comes only and only from calorie deficit, this is not my opinion but a proven scientific fact. So how can fibers promote weight loss? Do you have some studies that can prove this? I would be happy to observe them and learn something new if they exist

Stabilizes Mood

  • depression is a serious state, not a sadness or something that can be solved by improving mood. Causes for depression lies deep deep inside and I don't believe that this kind of thing can help with depression and it is also lacking of scientific evidence. Do you have some?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the same fruit that we locally refer to as chico here in the Philippines. I wasn't aware that it carries so much health benefits. Good to know! :)
