Food deliveries here have been on the rise in the past 2-3 years since it first started. But now that there is the corona virus that's been happening, food delivery is picking up even more. With people reluctant to go out and have a meal because of the crowd in food squares, restaurants and shopping malls, food delivery has now been the go-to for people to get their meals.
The e-hailing services are also giving all sorts of promos recently and for my burger truck, that's good because burgers are having a 30% off this week if you use their services and e-coupon codes. The e-hailing service provider will bear the discount so for us, we'll still be getting our 70% cut from each order.
Here in Malaysia, we have 2 very popular ones which are Food Panda and GrabFood. They are the top 2 food delivery companies so far with a few others that are getting in the game. It seems like it's only gonna get more competitive until the corona virus is sorta dealt with.
It really seems like the rise of usage is solely due to the panic and sheer fear that the public is being fed by media. Hopefully all these food restaurants including mine will brave through and survive this bear season and that e-hailing services is definitely gonna be one of those things that we are depending on to help us.
