Ok ok, so I know I was going to use steemit as an adventure destiny journey diary but food has taken preference. Let's face it travelling and food go hand in hand and in my case I travel to eat and explore as many local spots I can.
So welcome to my first review of one of Thailands little gems called Fresh Coffee on the South side of Koh Chang.

Owned by a lovely couple who live on site, this little restaurant very quickly became one of our local food stops.

They even have a demanding fat pig who comes to call them for his meal!

So to get started on the good stuff! The food! The guys loved the mango and sticky rice, posted as the main picture in this write up. You basically get a whole entire perfectly sweet and ripe mango over sweet sticky coconut rice for only 80bht and goes down really well as breakfast or dessert.

Next up is the coffee! And if you like coffee this is the place to have it! I could even go as far as saying the best cup I have had since I started traveling Asia! Perfect rich coffee flavour with a creamy head at only 40bht you definitely not breaking the bank here.

My personal favourite when eating out seems to have leaned towards soups (probably due to all the extra weight gained while travelling Sri Lanka! I swear they get a kick out of over feeding people ha ha)
I went for the Sukiyaki chicken soup and grilled chicken. Both absolute winners!
The soup is a delicately flavoured stock with water spinach, green onion, glass noodles, chicken, a poached runny egg and it comes with a sweet/sour chilli sauce that you are supposed to put into the soup as the lady showed me.

The grilled chicken is amazing, moist, smokey and packed full of flavour! It also comes with some sweet chilli dipping sauce that works so well with the flavour of the chicken.
All in all we ended up coming back to this spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Over the two days we spent this side of the island.
We had a few other items that were amazing, but the ones mentioned above were definitely top of the list. I have posted the rest of the menu below so you can have a look at prices and at some of the other items they have on offer .
Please leave a comment if you have found this post helpful and/or if you have eaten at this establishment. I would love to hear from you :)
