Home Made Bread

in food •  6 years ago

Hi Steemit

This is home made bread made by my wife. Probably it costs more to make than to buy for this white bread as it is quite cheap at the supermarket. But it tastes better and no preservatives added so it is healthier

How to make

Put flour , yeast and egg inside the bread machine and mix

Set the time for bread

The machine will stir automatically

Until it rises

thank you floridanow, travelling can give more inspirations of what to do at home

How to make it very easy, I really like it the tool and look modern, anyone can make bread easily using the tool.
May I taste a piece of bread? Lol 😋

thank you amuchtar, yes it becomes easier with this machine, just need to mix the right ingredients in

That's wonderful! home made bread and pasta are great! Could you get organic, stone ground flour?

https://www.bobsredmill.com/organic-whole-wheat-flour.html

Our Organic Whole Wheat Flour is 100% stone ground from dark northern hard red wheat, with all of the nutritious bran and germ still intact. This high-protein, certified organic flour is the tried, true and preferred choice of classic and traditional bread bakers for consistent, high rising loaves.

There is a story behind Bob's Red Mill and the mill stones that they use.
https://www.bobsredmill.com/bobs-way-mill

The Red Mill’s Beginnings
Bob's journey began in the mid '60s after coming across a book about an old stone-grinding flour mill. Unable to shake his vision of operating a flour mill that provided healthy and nutritious food, Bob tirelessly searched for his own set of usable millstones. With a little time and persistence, Bob and his wife found several sets of millstones and began their first mill in Redding, California.
In 1978 the couple left the mill and retired to Oregon City, but fate stepped in one afternoon when Bob came across an old mill that was for sale in nearby Milwaukie, Oregon. A few months later, Bob’s new mill was producing stone ground flours and cereals for local customers.

thank you freedomshift, yes organic is better and more expensive to buy but probably worth it

I like the fact that its a healthy one. Home made bread is indeed the best one. It even has great and appetising sight.

That bread looks alive hehehehehehehehe

I like the idea of made bread at home because you can add what you want and that doesn't have value. Regards

thank you dim753, yes it is a dancing bread. haha. This process is hard when done manually, need to keep moving it with hands

Looks great. But how did you slice it so evenly?

thank you manorvillemike, we use bread slicer, so basically put the bread in the slicer and there is a gap where you can insert the knife

Thanks, thought there was a machine involved, looked to nice. :-)

hahah
Thanks @djohan

Wow you are enjoying the weekend on a healthy note that looks too good fresh and healthy :)

Well yes home made products way better than found in the market.

Nice work done by your wife.

It is worth trying to make homemade bread from time to time, especially when the one we buy is over. It looks pretty tasty in the first photo, I would encourage you to eat it with jam!

Sure, some food are expensive to make at home, but they are always better and rich in qualities compare to the one from restaurant.

Your wife is a great cook, she makes all those food you have been sharing so far with a great touch perfection. Lol

She even ended up as the inspiration behind your posts... Hahahahaha

Double blessings for you.

My friend uses the bread maker for kneading and first rise as his hands are not 100% functional. It's a handy tool. I also consider it very handy to be able to get a fresh bread made right in time for breakfast without having to wake up at 3 a.m. :)
But I still enjoy working with a mixer, hands and an oven. One day I will get myself a Rofco or some other bread oven like that.
